At First Blue Healthcare we recognise each child as an individual; their qualities and uniqueness and when they become independent adults, they can reflect on their time with us and know they were valued and cared for in a nurturing and loving environment. We want children in our care to live in a loving environment, to feel at home and be offered opportunities.  A childrens home where they have access to education and support to achieve their life aspirations. We understand the benefits and pitfalls of modern society; such as technology, social media and youth culture – and incorporate support for these into daily living.

 

What makes us successful

Safe Happy Environment - Children are and always will be at the core of every thing we do. Not only do we want them to live a safe and happy life whilst with us but we also need to ensure they have all the tools they need to take with them when they leave.  We are not naïve enough to think that simply loving and caring for our young people will take away all the negative experiences they will have already had before coming to us.  With this in mind we ensure that we supply the best therapists who not only directly work with the children in our care but also support the staff teams to enable them to understand what makes our individual young people demonstrate some of the behaviours we see. Find out more about our therapeutic care

 

Consistency - We also understand that to have the best possible outcomes in life young people need good consistent education and we work alongside local educational provisions to make sure each of our young people is in a suitable school.  This may mean lengthy car journeys to enable them to remain at their current school or looking for bespoke packages for any children in our care who are not able to sustain mainstream school.

 

Opportunity - At First Blue Healthcare we also understand the importance of building memories and children having fun while they are living with us.  We feel it is important that our young people have the opportunity to go on holiday, whether this is abroad or in our country and we always ensure we enjoy celebrating a variety of festivities.  We also encourage our young people to engage with us in charity work locally to give them a sense of belonging in the community they live in.
